چکیده
Abstract In this paper, we present new regularized Shannon sampling formulas which use localized with special window functions, namely Gaussian, $$\mathrm B$$ B -spline, and $$\sinh $$ sinh -type functions. contrast to the classical series, possess an exponential decay are numerically robust in presence of noise. Several numerical experiments illustrate theoretical results.

Convergence Analysis of the Gaussian Regularized Shannon Sampling Formula
We consider the reconstruction of a bandlimited function from its finite localized sample data. Truncating the classical Shannon sampling series results in an unsatisfactory convergence rate due to the slow decayness of the sinc function. To overcome this drawback, a simple and highly effective method, called the Gaussian regularization of the Shannon series, was proposed in engineering and has...

متن کاملRegularized Greedy Importance Sampling
Greedy importance sampling is an unbiased estimation technique that reduces the variance of standard importance sampling by explicitly searching for modes in the estimation objective. Previous work has demonstrated the feasibility of implementing this method and proved that the technique is unbiased in both discrete and continuous domains. In this paper we present a reformulation of greedy impo...
متن کاملRegularized Image Up-sampling
This thesis addresses the problem of performing image magnification to achieve higher perceived resolution for grey-scale and color images. A new perspective on the problem is introduced through the new concept of a theoretical camera that can acquire an ideal high resolution image. A new formulation of the problem is then introduced using two ingredients: a newly designed observation model and...
متن کامل3: the Shannon Sampling Theorem
In this final set of notes, we would like to end where we began. In the first set of notes, we mentioned that mathematics could be used to show how CDs and MP3s can reproduce our music well, even though the file sizes of MP3s are relatively small. In this set of notes, we attempt to describe how this is possible. Surprisingly, the exponential function will play a key role. We assume familiarity...
